This band will perform your favorite songs by Frank Sinatra. Ranging from “New York, New York”,  “Blue Moon”, “The Autumn Leaves”, all with a smooth soulful jazz feeling.


Born and raised in North Carolina, Johnny Tune studied classical voice at North Carolina School of Arts and baroque music at Roosevelt Musical College Chicago. Various performances in operas, oratorians and musicals led to a 3 years’ engagement at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

The passionate musician also sings Pop, R&B and Soul and was hired by David A. Tobin for his group Ministry of Song to do a tour throughout Germany for 3 years and Ministry of Song became Kings of Soul. He performed as opening act for Sarah Connor and Roger Cicero. Johnny Tune also lended his singing voice to “Urmel” in the animated movie “Urmel voll in Fahrt”.


Roun Zieverink was born in the Netherlands and raised in Germany. During his studies of composition and orchestra conducting in Rotterdam, he already started working on different projects, including the Dutch national tour of “Mamma Mia!”, the original musical “Kruimeltje” and “Mary Poppins”. He worked for AIDA Cruises as Music Director on board and Music Supervisor shoreside. Additionally he produced concert versions of “The Last Five Years”, “Assassins” and “The Route to Happiness” marking the third concert version of a musical in Hamburg and working as a conductor in “Mary Poppins”


Markus Strothmann is a jazz drummer by heart and currently involved in 8 musical projects, such as “WDR Jazznacht” and “Wacken” and also teaches at the Artez Conservatory of Music in Enschede the Netherlands and two German music schools. Markus Strothmann completed with the degree Master of Music at the Artez Conservatory of Music in Enschede and a cognized personality within the European jazz scene. He initiated his own concert series “Markus Strothmann meets...”, in which he met European jazz personalities such as Nippy Noya, Norbert Gottschalk, Bart van Lier as well as on his Transitions album with Jeanfrançois Prins and Frederik Köster, winner of the German Jazz Echo prize.





Die Big Band ist als Aushängeschild der Jazzabteilung durchgängig mit jungen, ambitionierten Jazztalenten besetzt. Dirigiert wird das Jazzorchester von Studiengangsleiter Prof. Wolf Kerschek. Die “HfMT Bigband” und das “Film & Popularmusikorchester” reflektieren das künstlerische Potential des Studiengangs und absolvieren regelmäßig repräsentative Auftritte und Gastspiele.
